Forum Title: Pool Cover
I have an above ground pool with decking on one side, and the other side is surrounded by a gravel bed. Would I be able to get a safety cover? I know it needs to be anchored which I can do on the deck side, but can I put some kind of anchor in the gravel bed to attach to the cover? Thanks.

Here's the one I use. Little more pricey than your run of the mill AG pool cover. I like it though and recommend it if it fits the budget. http://www.poolandspa.com/catalog/product-The-Ultimate-Winter-Pool-Cover.cfm ?

Can you post a picture of the pool and set up? Some people use bungees and fill up bleach jugs or gallon water jugs which kind of hold the cover down

I use a mesh cover and we get plenty of snow here. Nothing wrong with a free refill of the pool in spring. I'd rather do that than mess with a solid cover that will have extreme sag and having to run a pump cover until after the water freezes.

I have a mesh safety cover that came with the pool when we bought the house last year. Pretty easy to put on and take off. Anchors into the concrete so I'm not worried about someone falling in during the winter. One thing I don't like is it lets some dirt and debri in the pool. Also pine needles blows up under it and gets into the pool. We have lots of pine trees around the edge of my property. Gonna try landscape timbers or 4x4's to stop that this year. Also, I don't have to pump water off of the cover like you would if you had a solid cover. Solid covers will probably keep your pool cleaner though. Hopefully somebody with a different cover will chime in. Hope this helps!

Mesh covers are designed to allow water to pass through them and as such will always have damp spots in them. It should drain water from the pool as you shouldn't have a pump or siphon on the top of the cover.

You're most likely talking about Liner Lock.

How long has it lasted? I'd rather pay for quality if it's worth it. Thanks!
